Accused Harasser Questioned: 'However Imagine I Could Be Madeleine?'
A woman indicted with harassing Kate McCann allegedly left her a recorded message which posed: "suppose I am Madeleine?"
Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who court testimony revealed has persistently declared she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are on trial accused with stalking Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February the current year.
On Monday, the tribunal was told communication data and information recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt repeatedly requesting Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over that period.

A separate phone message, shared in court, documented Ms Wandelt declaring: "I know I'm overweight and plain like Madeleine had been, but I believe what I know."
While one recording of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's voicemail expressed: "What if there is a small chance that I am Madeleine? What then? Is that not significant for you?"
"I do not need money, I have a living here in Poland, I only wish to understand," the recording stated.
The panel was advised that through electronic messages, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a attempt to display a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and claimed to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.
Robert Jones, an investigator with Leicestershire Police who collated the data, advised the court there "didn't appear to be any answers" from Mrs McCann.
Ms Wandelt additionally contacted family friends of the McCanns, according to the phone records.
On October 9th, 2024, Mr McCann picked up a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "a wrong number."
On that occasion Ms Wandelt recorded a voicemail on Mrs McCann's voicemail declaring "I won't give up and I intend to demonstrate my position."
The court heard the co-defendant established a association online with Ms Wandelt preceding accompanying her on a appearance to the McCanns' home in Leicestershire in last December.
