FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Match at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.
