The young golfer will have plenty of high-profile cheerleaders as she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, obtained a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, possesses numerous international courses and frequently matches against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we have some close matches," she stated.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Just don't get nervous."
"He essentially advised me to play and enjoy myself," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him somewhat preoccupied."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments recently and holds the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
Yet she can seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with her mother.
"He is the best player globally," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive human being. He advised me to go out there, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in professional golf at this tournament, including world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence brings golf to different demographics, specifically with youth audiences.
The social media influencer maintains substantial online presence and has started her own clothing and lifestyle company.
The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
